Hollywood actress Jennifer Love Hewitt finds the rumours of her impending break-up with her beau and costar Jamie Kennedy "hurtful".

The Ghost Whisperer star was at the Children's Institute Hosts Poker for a Cause in Commerce, California, to benefit costar Camryn Manheim's charity, said a report.

"I'm not going to lie it's not annoying, it's hurtful. It's really hurtful that people say that because he is like the most awesome person," said Hewitt.

The 30-year-old actress, who was present along with Kennedy, her boyfriend of eight months, said that she hates the fact that people have a totally wrong notion about their relationship.

"I really hate that people would make it seem like he's not really a good guy, and not treating me well. He treats me very well," the actress added.

A recent report had suggested that Kennedy, 39, is still hung up on a former flame while dating Hewitt, a report Hewitt's representative dismissed as a false claim by a disgruntled former employee.

"We are just trying to be really happy. It makes it hard to do that when everybody is putting negative energy out there," said Hewitt.

Kennedy, who stood beside Hewitt, added, "I am lucky to be with her. And I love her very much."
